Privacy policy

ZapZap TV is a video player. It does not sell, provide or host any channels, films or series. This policy explains what the app keeps on your device and what it sends to our server.
What stays on your device
- The playlist files you import: they never leave your device.
- Favorites, recently watched, where you stopped a film, your language and settings.
- The video streams go directly between your device and your own provider. We never see them.
What is sent to our server
To run the free trial and the license, the app sends:
- a device code made from your device's ID with a one-way hash (we cannot get your device ID back from it);
- the kind of device (Android phone, Android TV, iPhone) and the app version;
- the country where the device is used (two letters, e.g. MA), from the SIM card, mobile network, time zone or connection, never the precise position or the IP address, for your reseller's list (connection country from DB-IP's free database, db-ip.com, CC BY 4.0 licence; the IP address is used for the lookup and then forgotten);
- your license code when you activate one;
- the list of your playlists added by link (name, Xtream Codes server, username and password, or M3U link and EPG guide). Only your reseller (the one who activated your device) and we see it, in our reseller area, to help you: add a playlist for you, or change the server address when your provider changes it. A change made there reaches your app. On your device, these playlists stay encrypted.
The server keeps the dates of the first and last check, the end of the trial, and which device a license is active on. When you activate through WhatsApp, the owner may add a short note (for example your name or the payment) to your activation.
We do not use advertising, tracking or analytics. We do not sell or share your data. Our hosting provider (Supabase, servers in the European Union) may keep standard technical logs, such as IP addresses, for a short time for security.
Sending a playlist from our website
If you use "Upload your playlist" on our website, the playlist is encrypted in your browser with a key that only your device has. Our server only passes on the encrypted box: it cannot read it, and it deletes it as soon as your device receives it, or after 24 hours. The app shows a 6-digit code for this, which our server keeps only as a one-way hash for 30 minutes.
If you contact us on WhatsApp, we receive your phone number and the messages you send, including your Device ID. We use them only to activate your device and to help you.
How long we keep data
License and device records are kept while the license exists, so that it keeps working. The list of your playlists is replaced at each change; if you remove all your playlists in the app, it is emptied. You can ask us to delete your records; the app will then show the trial or activation screen again.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time through the WhatsApp support button in the app.
Children
The app is not made for children under 13. Adult categories can be locked with a PIN in Settings.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be in the app with a new date.
